Chief Operating Officer COO

PRIMIS Mortgage Network, on behalf of a large partner Mortgage and Protection advisory firm, are seeking an experienced operations professional to join their business as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at what is, an exciting time within the business as it continues its growth and development trajectory.

The business is a large, long established, Mortgage and Protection Advisory business who service contracted Estate Agency partners across the UK through a team of some 150+ Mortgage and Protection advisors.

We are looking specifically for an experienced Operations professional with extensive experience within the Mortgage and Protection industry.

Responsibilities of the role include -

Strategy execution

• Support the CEO implement the strategy
• Set the structure, process, systems, framework that turn strategy into execution.
• Identify commercial opportunities/partnerships and operationalise them
• Maximise existing opportunities/partnerships
• Support the internal communications framework for the firm

Sales support

• Support sales team to achieve their growth goals - making sure they have the tools to deliver
• To constantly evolve and improve the customer journey
• Monitor relevant management information to identify and address improvement opportunities
• To ensure the maintenance of high standards in regulatory compliance and promote good customer outcomes – oversight of the relationship with the network

Operational areas

• To oversee the day-to-day running of the firm’s operations functions
• Monitor relevant management information to identify and address improvement opportunities
• Ensure efficiency of operational areas, making use of technology to optimise service levels and ‘cost to serve’
• Own the firm’s risk management framework

Knowledge and Experience required –

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience within the Mortgage and Protection sector
• A good understanding of the large Mortgage Advisory businesses and the estate agency introducer model
• Full CeMap or equivalent qualification
• A wide-ranging management skillset
• Proven track record of result delivery
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• Coaching skills, mentoring and people management
• Internal and external relationship management

The basic salary for the role is competitive and will include a bonus element.

The role is home based with extensive travel across the UK
